Former Coach Steve Gavinski's induction into the

Hall of Fame
( Marriott-West Hotel - Middleton, Wisconsin )
On April 5th, 2008, former Greendale Head Coach Stephen J. Gavinski was inducted into the WFCA Hall of Fame. This is considered a very high honor because you are recognized, nominated and voted in by your peers. The banquet and ceremony were held at the Marriott-West Hotel, in Middleton Wisconsin, which is located on the western edge of Madison. Over 1400 people attended as Steve, and 21 other individuals were being inducted in as well.
Even though Steve is no longer physically with us, he will always be with us in spirit. Steve's son Tim, and daughter Sara, had the honor and privilege of filling in for their father as they excepted the awards and plaque on his behalf. Steve is now a member, of an elite group of individuals that have made Wisconsin high school football what it is today.
Attending this event were many family members, friends, coaches, and past alumni, who all felt compelled to be there to honor this great man too. To find out more about Coach Steve Gavinski, just click here.
