"Trench Camp"
The 2008 Linemen's Clinic
The high school football season must be getting close because the mini camp season is here. On July 14th, 15th and 16th, the coaches, under the direction of Scott Bond, along with help from other assistants and past alumni, held their annual linemen's mini camp for grades 8 through 12 at the high school. This year they also brought in some outside experience as well. Ben Murphy, who is a college defensive coordinator for Wisconsin Lutheran College and Carroll College's head football coach Henny Hiemenz were to name a few. They came in to do some instructional technique coaching. Over forty athletes showed up to hear what they had to say and to pick up some important pointers that will help make them become a better football player.
This camp is run annually and costs each player $25.00 to attended. It's the first of two mini camps that are planned each year.
The second clinic camp will start on July 24th, which is just for special teams followed by the complete offensive and defensive team camp, which will run from July 28 through the 31st. Times for all the camps are 3:00 to 7:30 pm. The cost for this camp is $20.00 per athlete.
