Rob Stoltz
Varsity Head Coach
Age:37
Head Coach Rob Stoltz has just completed his 10th season with the Panthers. Prior to coaching at Greendale, he was the Head Coach at West Bend High School for 1 year. He went to high school at Greendale High where he earned many honors in not only football, but in baseball as well. After graduating in 1992, he attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh where he continued to excel in both sports and in the classroom. He was a four-year starter for football and still owns the records for most career receptions, most yards and most touchdowns as a wide receiver. After graduating in 1996 with a Bachelors Degree in Special Education, he decided to head to Germany and play football for the Germany Knights. After that experience, he returned home and is now a Special Education teacher at Greendale High. He lives in Milwaukee with his wife Jenny, his daughter Ellery, his son Anderson, and Griffey the dog.
Gary Jagodzinski
Defensive Coordinator and Linebacker Coach
Age: 48
Gary Jagodzinski is the senior member of the staff and has been with Greendale the longest. He started his coaching career back in 1990 working with the JV teams. He has since moved up and is now the Head Defensive Coordinator for the Varsity. He also handles the linebackers. He attended Cudahy High and graduated in 1981. Following his high school career, he attended Milton College and played football there for one year. The school closd after his freshmen year so he then transferred to University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where he graduated in 1987 and earned his BS Degree in History and Secondary Education. Gary teaches history at the high school and lives in Burlington with his wife Suzanne and 3 kids, Sam, Isabelle and May.
Keith Ringelberg
Offensive Backfield and Specialty Teams Coach
Age: 47
Keith Ringelberg is the Offensive Back and Special Teams Coach. He's also the Head Varsity Reserve Coach. Keith has been coaching since 1987 staring at the youth level where he eventually became the Head Coach for the "A" team. It wasn't long before his talents were recognized and in 1993, he was asked to come up to the Freshman level at the high school and became the Head Coach. In 1996 he moved up again to the Varsity level and became the Offensive Coordinator at that time. He currently now heads the specialty team and assists Rob with the offensive. Keith attended high school at Brookfield East for his freshman and sophomore years and then transferred to Greendale for his remaining 2 years of high school. Keith played running back and strong safety. Keith was one of the conference's premiere running backs and was instrumental in taking Greendale the farthest they have ever gone in history in the WIAA playoffs. After graduating high school, he attended the University of Wisconsin-Platteville where he earned his BS and Masters Degree in Business Administration. He is a Certified Financial Advisor at Ringelberg Financial and lives in Greendale along with his wife Corri and their four kids, Kennedy, Halle, Jackson and Joshua.
Greg Koch
Offensive Line Coach
Age: 26
Greg Koch was moved up to take over for Scott Bond as the offensive line coach for the varsity. Prior to that he was coaching at the freshmen level. This will be his 4th year coaching for Greendale. He also is an ex-Greendale Panther football player. During his playing days, he was an offensive center and a defensive tackle. He graduated from Greendale High School in 2003. After high school, he attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. He graduated there in 2008 with a degree in Journalism. Greg is currently single and lives in Greendale.
Mike Picciolo
Wide Receiver Coach
Age: 20
This will be the first year for Mike who was asked to coach the wide receivers at the varsity level. He graduated from Greendale in 2009 where he was a very accomplished wide receiver that earned numerous accolades. He was also a valuable member of two Woodland Conference Championship teams while playing at Greendale. Mike is currently attending the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and did play one year of football. Mike is currently single and lives in Milwaukee.
Matt Susek
Defensive Line and Varsity Reserve Defensive Coordinator
Age: 37
Matt Susek is in charge of the defensive line. He also assists at the varsity reserve level as the defensive coordinator. Matt has been coaching for a total of 13 years of which 10 of them have been with the Panthers. Prior to coaching at Greendale, he spent 1 year coaching at Oshkosh North and 1 year at Greenfield. Back in his high schools days, he attended Greenfield High School where he played football on both sides of the ball at defensive end and the offensive line. Upon graduating high school in 1992, he moved on and attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh where he continued to play ball and eventually earned 3 letters playing for the Titans. In 1997, he graduated from Oshkosh with a Bachelors Degree in Education for Emotionally Disturbed and Learning Disabilities and a Masters Degree in Alternative Education. He currently is a special education teacher at GHS and lives in Oak Creek with his wife Kelli and three kids, Hayden, Brady, and Makenzie.
Tim Gavinski
Defensive Backfield Coach
Age: 38
Tim Gavinski coaches the defensive backs. He is the son of the late Stephen J Gavinski, the head coach of Greendale for many years before passing away of cancer back in 1991. Tim has been with the team for 9 years and unlike most of the other coaches, he attended and played football at New Berlin Eisenhower High School. Following his high school career, he attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater where he played football for 4 years and lettered in 3. He graduated with a degree in Occupational Safety and Health. He is single and currently lives in Wauwatosa. He works at Hartford Insurance, Specialty Risk Services as a worker's comp claims consultant. One thing is for certain, There aren't too many coaches alive today that share the same last name. Greendale's football field is called the "Stephen J. Gavinski Memorial Stadium" named after his father.
Jim Pekar
Assistant Defensive Line Coach
Age: 51
Jim maybe new to the coaching staff, but he is not new at the game of football. He has played the course starting at the high school level and finished at a division 1 university. He will take the place of Mike Weyer who worked with the defensive line. Jim was born in Cudahy and attended Cudahy High School where he also played 4 years of football at linebacker. He graduated from high school in 1977 and would continue his education at the University of Iowa where he played defense end for the Hawkeyes. He would graduate from Iowa with a degree in business in 1982. He currently works in sales for First Choice Ingredients. He has lived in Greendale for 12 years with his wife Lisa and 4 kids; Lisa, Sara, Peter, and Lizzy.
John Loeding
Assistant Defensive Coordinator
Age: 56
John Loeding was a new addition to the Greendale coaching staff for the 2010 season. He brings 34 years of coaching experience with him. You won't find too many coaches that posses the knowledge and experience on the defensive side of the ball then he. John, like most of the coaches, also played at Greendale High School and graduated back in 1974 thus making him the oldest member on the staff. He was one of several ex-Panther players that started the Greendale youth program back in 1976, which is still going strong today. He started his career as the head "A" team coach back in 1976 and coached there until 1983. In 1979, he was asked to coach for Greendale High School and was the Defensive Coordinator up until 1990. In 1991, he headed out to New Berlin Eisenhower where he was to take the Defensive Coordinator duties there as well. While there, he collected two back-to-back State Division 3 Championships for the Lions. In 2007, he took his coaching whistle to Greendale Martin Luther for a year where he coached the JV team. In 2008, he was asked to join the staff at Brookfield East of which he only stayed for one year. After taking a year off, he was asked by Coach Stoltz if he would join the staff once again. He works at Zero Zone as a Production Supervisor and lives in Greendale with his wife Julie and their daughter Gloria.
Bob La Plante
Outside Linebacker Coach
Age: 33
This will be Bob's first year of coaching. He was born in West Allis, raised in Milwaukee and then later moved to New Berlin where he attended New Berlin West High School. There he played football for four years of which three were at the varsity level as a cornerback. He would graduate high school in 1996 and then continue his education at Carroll College in Waukesha. He would play football for the Pioneers and was a member of the 1997 conference championship team. While playing football, he would earn his BA in Education and graduate in 2001. He is currently a realtor and will also be heading up Greendale high school's wrestling program. He lives in Waukesha with his wife Jen and has one 8 year old son.
Chris Muench
Freshmen Head Coach
Age: 39
Chris Muench coaches the freshman team. He has been coaching for 14 years, 11 of them at GHS. Prior to that, he coached at the youth levels both in Greendale and the Palmyra-Eagle area. He also coaches golf at GHS. Chris attended and played football at Germantown High School. After graduating high school in 1989, he attended college at the University of Minnesota where he graduated in 1993 with a degree in Education. He then later attended Marquette University where he earned his Masters in Education in 1996. He is a guidance counselor at GHS and lives in Wauwatosa with his wife Colleen and his daughter Anna.
Jermaine Murry
Freshmen Offensive Coordinator
Age: 37
Jermaine Murry has been with the Panthers for 9 years. He also helps coordinate the scouting reports for Coach Stoltz. He is the freshmen's offensive coordinator. He attended and played for the Panthers back in 1991 along with Coach Stoltz and Coach Bond. After graduating from Greendale in 1992, he attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee were he earned a Bachelors Degree in Human Resources. He then continued on and earned a Masters of Science in HR Management and a Masters in Sports Management from Cardinal Stritch College. He currently is single and works for Milwaukee County. He lives in Milwaukee.
Lucas Pohlmann
Freshmen Line Coach
Age: 20
This will be the first year for Lucas who was asked to help out with the freshmen linemen. He graduated from Greendale in 2009 where he was a very accomplished offensive linemen that earned numerous accolades. He was also a valuable member of two Woodland Conference Championship teams while playing at Greendale. Lucas is currently attending MATC. Lucas is currently single and lives in Greendale.
Chris Mackenzie L.A.T
Certified GHS Trainer
Age: 37
Chris Mackenzie works for Wheaton Franciscan Hospital and serves as Greendale High School’s Athletic Trainer. He has been with Greendale for 12 years and works with all the Greendale athletes. Prior to working with Greendale, he worked at Northwest University, Concordia University and at Grafton High school. He attended high school in Port Washington. After high school, he attended Concordia University where he graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Sports Medicine. He is married and resides in Milwaukee.
Dan Koth
Official Team Statistician
Age: 36
Dan Koth is Greendale's official Varsity team statistician. He too is a proud GHS alumnus from the class 93. Dan is a passionate sports enthusiast and has been working with the Greendale program for 8 years now. He wasn't able to play football because of an earlier childhood neck injury, so he was regulated to play non-contact sports instead. After graduating high school, Dan attended college at the University of Notre Dame, of which he graduated in 1997 with a degree in Accounting. Dan currently is an assistant controller and holds the title of Vice President of Finance in the Private Wealth Management sector for Robert W. Baird & Company. He currently is single and lives in Milwaukee.
